The drums are made from "'Tweneboa Wood" from the Tweneboa Tree, a renewable resource in Ghana and the Ivory Coast. Tweneboa translates to "Drum Tree." Each drum is a piece of art created by the people of a small village called, "Kane Kwei" in Accra, Ghana. The entire village is involved and every sale helps support the people who live there.
